Makhadzi did not know the storm she was causing for herself when she decided to wear ANC regalia and post it online.
Some fans believe that just because one is a celebrity they do not have any other interest apart from what they are famous for which is not the case and many at times celebrities have lost their careers because fans did not share in their interests.
Elections are around the corner(1st of November 2021) and the political parties have been campaigning with the help of celebrities to boost their following.
EFF recieve help from celebrities like Ntando Duma, Fifi Cooper and Lasizwe and the ANC recently enlisted the help of Makhadzi.
She was invited to an ANC rally and decided to wear a knitted ANC regalia and posted her pics on twitter and captioned them “Hounouring the President’s invite”.
That did not sit down well with a lot of her fans who were disappointed by what she said, saying how could she support a political party that is responsible for the high youth unemployment in the country.
Because of this many people have vowed to unfollow her and this might be a problem for her as it might escalate.
People went on to say that Makhadzi should just stick to singing and entertaining not rallying behind a party they do not like.
