The Kingdom actor Thapelo Maropefela beaten to death by security guards

Thapelo Maropefela was reported to have died on the 24th of October by her sister via a social media a day before his birthday.

Maropefela’s sister said that Thapelo was planning to spend his birthday with his family but it seems life had other plans for him.

It was revealed that his death was caused by being assaulted by security guards in Maboneng, Joburg.

The family spokesperson and Uncle to the deceased Glenn Masokoane said that three security guards allegedly beat Thapelo using heavy objects.

“He was brutally assaulted by security guards in Maboneng. They bludgeoned him causing grievous bodily harm. He died from the wounds inflicted on him,” he said.

He went on to share how devastated the family was. “We will miss his infectious smile and calmness in difficult situations.

“He was passionate about his talent and focused on mastering it. He loved his family and friends so much, gave the biggest hugs and the brightest smile.”

Thapelo”s funeral service will be held on Friday, 29 October at the Anglican Church in Mohlakeng, Randfontein.
