This incident happened after S’22kile performed a song Ntyilo Ntyilo by Rethabile Khumalo ft Master KG and added some spice to the lyrics of the track a little. However,he change of lyrics for the track did not sit well with Unathi and she made sure everyone knew that.
While giving feedback on S’22kile’s performance, Unathi made a slip-up when she delivered her disapproval in Sesotho and did not quite get it right herself as her Sesotho was incorrect.
Fans of Idols took to social media to make it known that Unathi was harsh when she commented on S’22kile’s performance. They called her out and she was then accused of being a hypocrite.
Unhappy fans went on and commented:
"Unathi criticised S22kile for not singing Xhosa song correctly, but ena tried to address Karabo in her language but her Setswana was horrible, idols judges are hypocrites #idolssa."
