Zahara to be arrested for not paying Tax

 


Bulelwa “Zahara” Mkutukana was issued a warrant of arrest by the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court in the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court after failing to pay her tax returns. 

According to Sunday World, Zahara was charged by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) early this year for failing to submit her tax returns for the years 2017 and 2018 to SARS.

Zahara is said to have allegedly failed to appear in court last Friday the 22nd of October 2021 where she was supposed to plead to the charge and begin her trial.

Phindi Mjonondwane who is the spokesperson for the NPA confirmed that a warrant of arrest for the singer has been issued.

“We can confirm that a warrant of arrest has been issued for Bulelwa ‘Zahara’ Mtukukana for her failure to appear in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court sitting in Palm Ridge on her charge of failing to submit her tax returns. But it was held over until Wednesday, October 27.″

Zahara recorded her first criminal record was after she paid R1500 guilt fine in June for failing to appear in court and her second criminal record was after she payed an admission of guilt fine of R2000 for failing to submit her company, Zahara Army’s income tax returns after pleading guilty to all charges.
